Ingredients
- 2 scoops of Amaretto liqueur (approximately 3 ounces)
- 1 scoop fresh lemon juice (1.5 ounces)
- 1 scoop of simple syrup (1.5 ounces) based on Cristal de Caña sugar
- Ice
- 1 orange peel for garnish (or a slice of orange)
- 1 fresh cherry for garnish.
- For the syrup: 1 cup Cristal de Caña sugar and 1 cup water
Preparation
- In a cocktail shaker pour the Amaretto, simple syrup, and lemon juice with a few ice cubes.
- Close the shaker and shake well for a minute or so.
- Prepare a glass with 2-3 large ice cubes (about 3/4 of the glass full of ice).
- Strain into the glass.
- Garnish the glass with an orange peel and a cherry.
- Syrup: Simply bring the water to boil (you can do it in a kettle or in a small saucepan). And transfer it to a glass container, mix the Cristal de Caña sugar in it and stir until it dissolves completely. You can also get creative and infuse it with flavor by using different spices, fruits or herbs (ginger, cinnamon, orange, jalapeño, vanilla...).
