Ingredients
  • 1 cup of Cristal de Caña brown sugar
  • liter of water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cloves
  • 4 small red apples (peeled and cut in half)
  • 1 cup of prunes
  • 2 peeled and diced guavas
  • 1 cup of peeled tamarind
  • 1 cup of golden rum
  • Juice of two oranges
  • Orange slices for garnish
Preparation
  1. Boil the water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and sugar for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the apples, prunes, guavas, tamarind, and orange juice. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Add the rum and cook for a few additional minutes.
  4. Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  5. Remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  6. Serve hot in cups and garnish with orange slices.
