Ingredients
- 1 cup of Cristal de Caña brown sugar
- liter of water
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 4 small red apples (peeled and cut in half)
- 1 cup of prunes
- 2 peeled and diced guavas
- 1 cup of peeled tamarind
- 1 cup of golden rum
- Juice of two oranges
- Orange slices for garnish
Preparation
- Boil the water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and sugar for 10 minutes.
- Add the apples, prunes, guavas, tamarind, and orange juice. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes.
- Add the rum and cook for a few additional minutes.
- Adjust sweetness to your liking.
- Remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- Serve hot in cups and garnish with orange slices.
