Ingredients
- ¼ cup Cristal de Caña sugar
- 2 cups of oat flakes
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup melted butter
- ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)
- ¼ cup raisins (optional)
- ¼ cup chopped sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8x8” square pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the oats, sugar, honey and melted butter.
- Add the chocolate chips, raisins and seeds or nuts (optional).
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown on the edges.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
