That final point called dessert

Health

Would you believe that if you choose a high-calorie dessert before selecting your entrée or main course, it might be healthier?

Research at Tel Aviv University looked at the diets of 200 people: half consumed 600-calorie breakfasts, which included cookies, pancakes, cakes and even donuts. The other half consumed 300 calories of protein and dairy for breakfast.

What was the finding?

Those who consumed sweets had fewer cravings and less hunger during the rest of the day. Although both groups lost weight, the people who did not deprive themselves of sweets, managed to maintain their weight, while the others tended to regain it.

The experts explained this phenomenon as follows: “The body stores more energy to function well throughout the day and is not tempted by cravings at any time.”

Now you know the best excuse to consume sugar, but don’t lose sight of the amount consumed.
