Ingredients
  • 1 pound of Cristal de Caña sugar
  • 1 pound of grated ripe plantains
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 3 egg whites
Preparation
  1. Put the orange juice, the grated plantains, and sugar in a saucepan
  2. Boil and stir continuously (avoid burning the bananas)
  3. When the mixture becomes thick, add the cinnamon and vanilla
  4. Beat the egg whites until stiff and add the sweet mixture
  5. Mix, beating vigorously, until well blended
  6. Serve when cold.
