  • ½ cup Cristal de Caña sugar
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a muffin pan or place paper cups inside it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, sugar, oil and egg until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, sift together the flours, baking soda and baking powder.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until the dough is smooth.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill the muffin pan up to ¾ of its capacity with the dough.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before unmolding and serving.
